Alice in Chains is an American rock band formed in 1987. The band consists of 4 original members, guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell, drummer Sean Kinney, vocalist Layne Staley, and bassist Mike Starr. Alice in Chains is widely associated with grunge music, but the band’s sound incorporates heavy metal elements. Alice in Chains has released six studio albums, three EP’s, three live albums, four compilations, two DVDs, 43 music videos, and 32 singles. The band is known for its distinctive vocal style, due to the harmonized vocals between Staley and Cantrell.
