Let it snow! Christmas with Germany’s only Crooner. The terms “Crooner” and “Entertainer” in the Frank Sinatra/Tony Bennett sense never sounded quite right combined with the word “Germany”. That little something extra never really was part of the act with most self-declared international German singing stars. That is, until Tom Gaebel entered the scene some years ago. He founded his own Jazz Big Band in 2004 and has been on tour ever since. His latest album, “Easy Christmas” keeps the promise given with the title, offering his own versions of American Christmas songs from the fifties and sixties. Easy listening versions of evergreens such as "Jingle Bells", "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", "Driving Home For Christmas", "Baby, It’s Cold Outside" (a duet with Katrin Bauerfeind), plus two new Gaebel compositions. A big voice, lots of style and feeling – may the festive season start!
